This picture is of Wat Arun, a famous Buddhist temple in Thailand. I took it from a really cool little Italian restaurant across the way that is attached to a boutique hotel named "Arun Residence". I will stay at this place next time - be sure to get the balcony room at the top if you come... it's just over $100 a night.

My wife and I intended to walk arround Bangkok tourist area to take photos on Saturday, but the sky was very cloudy and there was a small rain. So we went to a place for taking a sunset shot of "the Temple of Dawn". By the way the sun had a day off, so there were no beautiful sunset shots. That was good, since we order more drinks and wait for a night shot of the famous scenery of Bangkok. The above photo is what we get. We found that this is the nearest spot to take a photo of the temple of dawn from the opposite site of the river.

Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, is one of Bangkok's best know landmark. It stands on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River in Thon Buri. When I said earlier from my 3 or 4 'bum-fluff' pics (but I liked them), I had a 'real' pic to post, I was aware that Flickr was having "real" problems . . it is currently taking ages for me (and I guess you, from the comments), to see our contacts' posts.
This is a problem, we all like commenting on other's pics, but if we don't realise they've posted we won't comment. Worse - how do they know we've even posted? If it continues, the whole social fabric of Flickr will be lost.
'Scuse me, I'm on my high horse . . I had a Pepsi or two this evening.
Anyway, I'm now scouting through my contacts' list to find recent posts (are you doing the same?, isn't it terrible). . . and if I missed you today, I'll get to you tomorrow.
