The floating market

The Floating Market
Has been featured in Thai promotional posters world wide. Although most visitors are taken to see the well known version in Damnoensaduak quite some distance from BKK, there are smaller, but no less authentic versions on the river well within your reach.

National Museum
A short walk from teh Grand Palace is the National Museum where you can study Thailand’s history and view rare artifacts. The entire complex was built in 1782 and consists of several old and beautiful buildings with colourful Thai architectural design. The museum offers daily guided tours on Thai art and culkture in various languages.

Dream World
Is a relatively new Disney-like amusement park in Bangkok, and as a family attraction it is much needed. Billed as a “world of happiness” this park is off the Rangsit Ongkarak Road on the 7 Kilometer marker. The park features rides and attractions that are state-of-the-art, as well as plenty of food and beverage outlets.

Siam Park
While we are on the subject of parks in the city, it is also suggested that you visit the Siam Park, right in the heart of bangkok. This is promoted as an inland sea, and boasts breaking surfs, lots of different “theme pools” waterfalls and kiddy slide, deep sea monsters, the lot. As well there are ample food and beverage outlets so no one should go wanting. Siam Park is at KM 5 Sukhapibal 2, and is an easy taxi ride from any hotel in Bangkok.

Safari World
Is a unique 180 acre wildlife theme park. Visitors can drive their own car through the Safari Park, viewing animals in free roaming exhibits. Many of the show are “firsts” for Thailand including the dolphin show, the sea lion show, the wild west stunt show, the water ski show and the world’s largest live action show filled with lots of special effects to thrill and excite visitors. Safari World is designed to fill your day with fun and excitement and to allow people a closer look at our world’s wildlife, giving individuals a chance to learn and care.
